| Other Punch and Dies Here is the new slot punch for my rail. The rail below has the two slots punched in it for the rail joiner. The two small holes at either end are for alignment pins which are removed after the punch and the die are aligned in the Kick Press. This was a difficult die set to make. |

Other Punch and Dies Here is a universal punch and die set that stamps holes in both the closure rail plate and the point hinge. The top pieces are the punch & die. The middle pieces are steel spacers inserted in the die depending how many holes of what is being punched out. The bottom two pieces are the closure rail plate (lower left) and the point hinge. |

Other Punch and Dies The rail is held at an angle in the die to punch the two holes for the closure rail plate. There was some concern that the angled die wouldn't work properly but it works just fine. |
| Other Punch and Dies Here's a picture of the secondary die used to punch the offset in the rail hinge. The rail hinge sits in the die to the left. The punch (on the right) offsets the hinge blank 1/32" for a total clearance of 1/16" when the hinge pieces are attached to the point rail. |

Other Punch and Dies Here is another single hole punch used for the rail. The small hole makes a hole for tapping a 4-40 screw. |
