| Track
Right Of Way Views.
This is a view at the bottom of Pottery Hill at the base of the grade. The main line up Pottery Hill goes to the left. The right side track sweeps back to the right and goes to the north end of the property. It is part of the Wye track.. |

Track
Right Of Way Views.
Here's
a low shot of the big trestle bridge. This was taken during the
spring time and vegetation was abundant and the cactus was in
bloom. Note the use of wood guard rails on the bridge. The
red cans are sand buckets placed on the safety islands on the side of
the bridge. They are baby soda pop cans. These are removed
when operating trains. |
| Typical Sand problems on the Gecko Belt & Sandy Flats RR. This
picture shows how much blowing sand gets on the track. Sharp eyed
people might notice the tracks in the sand from a large snake that
passed by the morning the picture was taken. Any wind will
obliterate the snake tracks by the afternoon. |

Typical Sand problems on the Gecko Belt & Sandy Flats RR. Here's a serious sand problem. This has to be cleaned out before the spring switch will operate properly. |
| Another switch problem on the Gecko Belt & Sandy Flats RR. Here
the switch is choked with Mesquite bush droppings and other
desert vegetation matter. It too will need to be cleaned out for
the switch to work properly. |

Termite attack on the Gecko Belt & Sandy Flats RR. Here
you can see two ties partly covered with Termite mud. The
Termites will not eat the ties as they are made of Trex decking
material. It is unsightly and I do sweep the dried mud off the
ties. |
